The film that accompanies the Dynamite, applies many of the techniques and concepts developed as part of Speculative aesthetics, bringing a ruptured, fragmented, montage to an international audience.
Moving image accompaniment to Mr.Dynamite, the title track of the album by Creep Show released on Bella Union.
Creep Show vocalist and former Cabaret Voltaire frontman Stephen Malinder described it as
“a high-speed chase through a busted cathode ray tube, a bullet train ride along the rails of pop art’s underbelly.”
Iggy Pop commenting on his Iggy Confidential show on BBC radio 6 thought that it was a
"convincingly creepy video...I'm convinced. It's not that easy to creep people out these days because by comparison the creep bar is always rising”
Creep show brings together John Grant with the dark analogue electro of Wrangler (Stephen Mallinder / Phil Winter / Benge) to create Mr Dynamite – a debut album packed with experimental pop and surreal funk.

A programme that curated new and archival scratch video works.
Born of Thatcherist angst, daytime TV, agitprop and the ascent of the home video recorder, Scratch Video was a British video art movement of the early ’80s characterised by the splicing together and recontextualization of found footage, churning pop, politic ideologies and VHS into ‘televisual punk rock’. Ultimately finding its way from the gallery walls of the Tate and ICA to the clubs of South London, we’re returning it to the historic ICA theatre for our traditional bop of a festival opener. In association with LUX, we present an excavation of the genre with original work by the Duvet Brothers, Gorilla Tapes, George Barber, Sandra Goldbacher, Kim Flitcroft and John Hanlon, featuring the music of New Order, Joy Division and Strike! The Enemy Within. Accompanied by multi-screen projection and live performance from synth supergroup Wrangler.
Mallinder has curated a programme of contemporary collage videos to screen, including work by Dan Conway, Luke Pendrell, Francesca Levi, Joe Shearsby, Jedd Winterburn, Akiko Huruna and Corey Johnson.
Live: Wrangler
Stephen Mallinder (Cabaret Voltaire), Phil Winter and Benge released their debut album, LA Spark, as Wrangler in 2014, followed by a remix project featuring Mute founder Daniel Miller, Chris Carter (Chris & Cosey), Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails) and Scanner.
